Drone

The DJI Inspire 2 is an amazingly capable aircraft. It boasts a flight time in excess of 20minutes, advanced GPS, obstacle avoidance and positioning sensors. It will accelerate to a top speed of 58mph in a little over 5 seconds, ideal for tracking a fast moving object.

All the shots in my 2018 automotive showreel were taken with this drone.

Camera

The Zenmuse X5S stabilised camera / gimbal is capable of recording 5.2K videos in CinemaDNG, Apple ProRes. 4K or 1080.

The proven micro-four-thirds sensor also found in the GH4/5 cameras, is compatible with a host of lenses from 15-45mm.

It can shoot in various frame rates including 24 / 25 / 30 /60fps in 4K and 120fps in 1080HD.

Mavic 2 Pro

I carry the Mavic 2 Pro with me wherever I go so if the opportunity arises, I can get a drone in the air at a moment's notice. It is so small it can fit into the smallest of spaces and is perfect for flying inside of buildings and through small gaps.

The 3 axis stabilised camera can be switched to manual to control the ISO, white balance, f-stop and shutter speed. It has a 1-inch Sony sensor and performs so well in low light I was able to shoot this entire video inside the Ministry of Sound all using this drone.

FPV Racing / Freestyle drone

These high performance drones are designed to be flown in conjunction with goggles. These give the pilot a first person view as if you are riding onboard the drone.

This 124mph racer is built for speed, however due to its super smooth flight characteristics, it is capable of shooting some truly unique cinematic footage.
