Some shoots require more planning and preparation than others. I am used to acquiring the relevant permissions from land owners and the nearest air traffic control towers. As well as this, it is sometimes necessary to produce an illustration, to demonstrate how the flight can be performed safely and legally.

When operating in confined spaces, it is important to predetermine the airspace that will be used to fly in as well as emergency 'drop zones'. All of this forms part of the Risk Assessment and is also communicated to the client as well as any cast and crew prior to the flight commencing.
